Bisou Bar & Bistro

At Bisou Bar & Bistro, classic Guldsmeden flavours meet the relaxed charm of a neighbourhood bistro.

Located at the newly opened Belle Guldsmeden in Aarhus, Bisou serves our much-loved Guldsmeden Hotels Signature Breakfast in the morning, followed by a simple and varied menu of familiar favourites throughout the day.

Expect fresh, comforting dishes with a laid-back feel – from gazpacho, burrata and Caesar salad to vegetarian lasagna, cheeseburgers, seasonal salads, crispy fries and indulgent desserts. The menu is made for slow mornings, casual lunches, relaxed dinners and drinks at the bar.

A great selection of breads, croissants and cakes form the base for a mound of warm or cold, delicious and healthy choices.

Amongst many other things, we serve freshly boiled and scrambled eggs, chicken sausages, fresh & fried seasonal vegetables, locally caught smoked fish, hams and salamis, mounds of fresh cheeses and butter, bowls of whole or sliced fruit, followed by our absolutely mandatory homemade special yoghurts topped with homemade brown-bread cereal, chock-full of nuts, seeds and honey.

We have a selection of lactose free, gluten free and vegan options available on request in addition to what is already on the breakfast buffet.

Terrace

Our three terraces offer inviting outdoor spaces throughout the hotel, each with its own atmosphere and purpose.

At the heart of the hotel, the main terrace is a natural gathering place – a relaxed setting designed for both quiet moments and socialising. Start your day here with breakfast, return for an afternoon break, or enjoy a drink or dinner from our restaurant as the day winds down. Framed by greenery and a calm atmosphere, it is an easy place to settle in and stay a while.

The hotel is located at Kalkværksvej 11 in Aarhus.

Arriving by car?
We recommend parking at Bruuns Galleri and walking to the hotel via Kulbroen. The bridge may not yet appear on Google Maps, but it is the easiest route from the car park to the hotel.

From 1 September, parking can also be reserved at Q-Park, Kalkværksvej 10C-D-E. From the car park, turn right and then immediately left to reach the main entrance, where you will find three lifts. Take the lift to the second floor, where reception is located.

Arriving by train?
Walk through Bruuns Galleri and take the exit towards Værkmestergade. Follow Værkmestergade to Kulbroen, cross the bridge, and continue towards Kalkværksvej 11. From there, follow the signs to Belle Guldsmeden and reception.

Please note that Kulbroen may not yet appear on Google Maps, but it is the easiest walking route from the station.

Arriving by bus?
From Aarhus Bus Station, walk towards Spanien and continue to Letbanebroen. Cross the bridge towards Kalkværksvej and continue in the direction of Papirlageret. Turn left at the first opportunity.

After approximately 100 metres, you will find the main entrance, where there are three lifts. Take the lift to the second floor and turn left to reach reception.
